Diary of a Scam Artist: Misunderstood

If you read through juleslupowitz.com carefully, you’ll learn that this website—and, to a lesser extent, our LinkedIn profile—covers my businesses and life history, which, like my team’s experience, is vast, detailed, and vivid. It includes my two publicized mistakes. These events drove me—not only because I treated them as obstacles and succeeded, but also because they directed me to help others with issues and predicaments in business and life. My team and I listen, learn your goals, clarify and isolate your obstacles, develop a solution, and then coach and support you through it. We’re always learning from numerous consultants across multiple industries, businesses, and complex situations. This tactical process is how we continue to learn.

How and why we provide simplified exec coaching, quickly target and resolve business obstacles through coaching and consulting; and certainly how we know how to repair and manage personal, professional, and business reputations should be plainly obvious by any inspection of us – usually at the intake process, usually by me. You’ll also know, quite quickly that if anything you tell me or my team falls outside our skill set or talent pool, you’ll be referred, with your permission, to someone outside Jules Lupowitz’s organization. There are credible consultants whom I respect and with whom we have both taught and learned.

Recall that I’ve used numerous personal, corporate, and business coaching services, using them as I rebuilt myself, notwithstanding my besmirched, personal and business reputation. Surprisingly, I’ve learned that although personal coaching is categorically different from business or executive coaching, these fields have simpler and more parallel facets—especially with family issues—than one might imagine.

For these reasons, I’m usually willing to speak with every prospective client whose situation I may allow myself, my team, or this company to handle. Feel free to contact me by phone or email on the intake form as I am usually available.

Recall this excerpt is written mainly for this website. It clarifies what I believe is necessary for coaching and reputation-management issues, as well as matters of common interest.

Consensus—definition: what most people believe, but not necessarily the facts. Here are some verifiable facts on JL’s supposedly “dumbfounded or vicious“ crimes. After reading this and verifying anything you need to, ask yourself: Has JL done anything good, productive, or conscientious? This website contains, for practical purposes, lists of provable and verifiable items. I hope people will ask me to confirm these parts of who and what JL is, always was, and always will be.

DIARY OF A SCAM ARTIST: SHORT VERSION OF REVIEW

Detailed Summary of Book Being Published, Parts 1 Through 7

Diary of a Scam Artist: Misunderstood is not a book about excuses. It is a book about understanding how a person can become lost, make devastating mistakes, and still fight to find the truth about who they really are.

Anyone who looks deeply into my life will see a complicated story. I have made serious mistakes, including illegal actions that I take full responsibility for. But those actions do not represent the entire person. They represent a period of anger, frustration, impulsiveness, and self-destruction during one of the most painful times of my life.

The loss of my marriage and my family as I knew it affected me more deeply than I understood at the time. I did not take my anger out on the people I loved. Instead, it came out in destructive ways against others, including a business scheme that eventually led to my conviction for wire fraud.

The irony, and the hardest truth for me to accept, is that most of the people I dealt with were satisfied customers. Many were helped. Many respected me. That does not erase the wrong I committed, but it does show the complexity of human beings. A person can do wrong and still have done many things right.

My life before that period was not what many people assumed. I was not a privileged person who had everything handed to me. I was a hyperactive kid from a poor family who learned independence early, worked from a young age, created businesses, fought through challenges, and built a successful career through determination, creativity, and relentless effort.

I was misunderstood many times in life. Some saw confidence and independence as arrogance. Some saw success and assumed privilege. They did not see the struggles behind it.

This book explores the person behind the headlines, the internet searches, the mugshot, and the mistakes. It explores the anger, the choices, the consequences, and the lessons learned.

I do not claim perfection. I claim honesty.

The same qualities that helped me build businesses, sell, lead, and create also became dangerous when combined with anger and poor decisions.

Today, my goal is not to hide from my past. It is to learn from it, take responsibility for it, and use everything I have experienced to help others.

My reputation may have been damaged online by the worst moments of my life, but a person’s entire existence cannot be defined by their lowest points.

Diary of a Scam Artist: Misunderstood is ultimately a story about accountability, redemption, human complexity, and the belief that people can change when they finally understand themselves.
